Finding the UCAT tough?
Compete for the top 10%
We start from exactly where you are. With enough preparation, we believe any student can reach the top 10%. That's the target we set for every student we teach.

You can prepare for the UCAT alone, but it's a road full of detours. We'll show you exactly where you're losing marks and time, and give you a system to fix it.

Why work with a tutor?
We’ll be upfront: you can prepare for the UCAT on your own. Question banks, mock exams and self-practice can absolutely get you there.
But preparing alone is like driving to your destination through detour after detour, wasting time along the way. Time is limited, and ultimately you may never reach your full potential. Working with one of our tutors is designed to give you the straightest, most efficient route to your goal.
The problem isn't access to questions. It's knowing exactly what to do with them.

Meet our founder
I'm Anbu Raveenan, the founder and tutor of UCAT Edge. I'm a third-year university student, and I've sat the UCAT twice.
My first attempt placed me around the top 5%. A strong result, but I knew there was more in it. So instead of accepting it, I went back through everything: every section, every question type, every mistake and every minute I'd lost. I rebuilt my preparation from the ground up and developed the frameworks and techniques we now teach.
In 2026 I sat the UCAT again and scored 2610: 880 in Verbal Reasoning, 830 in Decision Making and a perfect 900 in Quantitative Reasoning.
That's what makes our tutoring different. We don't only know how to score highly. We know how to take an already strong score and make it exceptional, because I've done it myself.
I've already spent years figuring out the UCAT. You shouldn't have to figure it out alone.

Work with a tutorMy speciality
Top-10% students often score 800+ in QR and DM, then struggle to break 700 in VR. Even top-1% students rarely reach 800.
VR is the hardest section to improve, because practice and question banks make the least difference. It's also where most candidates have their lowest score, and the most room to improve.
Nobody knows more about Verbal Reasoning than me. I spent 12 months relearning how to read, all for 22 minutes on exam day. It took me to 880. You don't need to spend those 12 months. I already have. I'll teach you exactly how I did it.
How tutoring works
Tutoring with us isn't "let's do some questions together". We break every UCAT section into its individual question types and teach you a repeatable framework for each, then personalise everything around where you're losing marks.
Each section has its own question types, so each one gets its own plan.
We find exactly where your 22 minutes go: reading too much, missing the key sentence, or falling for Can't Tell traps.
You learn when to read and when to scan, how to find the key sentence fast, and how to eliminate wrong answers.
You work through timed passages at exam pace, keeping to time across all 11 passages. We review every set, then go again.
We find which question types cost you marks and which ones swallow your time.
You learn a step-by-step method for each question type, and which questions to bank first and which to flag.
You practise under timed conditions, skipping the puzzles that eat your time and making confident, informed guesses. We review every set, then go again.
We find where your marks slip: pulling the wrong data, slow calculator use, or getting stuck on multi-step problems.
You learn to pull the right data out fast, use the on-screen calculator efficiently and estimate when precision isn't needed.
You work at exam pace and learn when to skip and come back. We review every set, then go again.
We find where your judgement drifts from the principles the answers are built on.
You learn those principles and how to apply them consistently, instead of going by gut feel.
You practise keeping pace through a long, fast section of 69 questions. We review every set, then go again.
Question counts and timings reflect the 2026 UCAT format.

Apply for tutoringNo. Tutoring adapts to your current level. Whether you're just starting out or already scoring well, we begin by diagnosing exactly where you are, then build from there. With enough preparation, we believe any student can reach the top 10%. That's the target we set for every student we teach.
Yes, and we'll always be honest about that. Question banks, mocks and self-practice can get you there. The value of tutoring is making that preparation more structured and efficient: finding your mistakes, weaknesses and time sinks earlier, so every hour you put in counts.
Then the remaining marks are harder to find, and that's exactly where we can help. Our founder went from around the top 5% to 2610 himself. For high-performing students, the goal is to push from top-10% performance towards the top 1%.
Yes: Verbal Reasoning. Our founder scored 880/900, and VR is often the biggest remaining opportunity for students who are already strong in QR and DM. Tutoring still covers every section. He also scored a perfect 900 in Quantitative Reasoning and 830 in Decision Making.
No. Your result depends on your preparation, consistency and execution on the day, so no specific score is promised. What you will get is a clear system, honest feedback and a plan built around your weaknesses.
Ideally a few months before your test date, so there's time to diagnose, build and execute properly. But it's rarely too late. Even a few weeks of focused, targeted preparation beats unstructured practice.
Of course. Fill in the application form with your own details and mention the student's name in the message box.
